A Diary : ATP players

Hello, guys! It has been a very interesting men's US Open, isn't that? And this is the reason that I've decided to share with you my Top 5 ATP players.

5. Rafael Nadal (ESP) - And I think I said everything with that. At this US Open, he played really unbelieveable and it's clear he deserved to win. He became the youngest player to win every single major, at the age of 24. He already won 9 Grand Slam titles and I think he has a big chance to beat Federer's record, because if his knees are fine, he will have a long grandiose career.

4. Andy Roddick (USA) - Love him or hate him. He will always be a big name in tennis, altough he won only one Grand Slam title. He and Federer are the only players to have been ranked top 10 from 2002 through 2009 consecutively. He has an impressive game and in a good day he can beat anyone. He's a former world no.1 and he remains in my mind especially for the amazing 2009 Wimbledon final. I will never forget it.

3. Juan Martin del Potro (ARG) - He impressed me last year at US Open, first for winning his SF and apologizing for ruining the dream final Federer-Nadal, and then for beating Roger in the final. He is very young and I am really sorry for his injury, I can't wait to see him back!

2. Robin Soderling (SWE) - I know what most of the people think : "Woo, bad boy". Yes, he had some episodes in his career when he was kind of a bad boy (most known for his 'problem' with Nadal or, recently, the umpire Pascal Maria). And for a reason, in a Nadal-Soderling match I will always support him, altough I know what he did a few years ago was not nice. He's the only player to beat Rafa at Roland Garros (2009), and this year he beat Federer, reaching the second consecutive final. And, c'mon, guys, let's be serious : he has the best smile!!! :)

1. Novak Djokovic (SRB) - Should I talk about his game or his off-court life? On the court he can be very dangerous, he is a perfectionist, which, in most cases, is a very good thing. Off the court he has everything. A cool family, a lovely girlfriend, very good friends, and which is more, an amazing sense of humor. Everybody knows his impersonations and his jokes. In conclusion, a complete person, which means a lot.

And, a guy who will always have a special place in my tennis heart...

... Marat Safin (RUS) !!!

To be honest, I've never heard someone to say he doesn't like him. He is so charismatic, that people just LOVE seeing him arguing with the umpires or smashing racquets. And this is not ordinary.

That's it. Talk to you next time! :)
